The Award of the Americas was made to Joe and Carol McGraw at the 2019 Noche de Gala held at Southern Hills Country Club. The McGraws are longtime supporters of the Foundation.
Award of the Americas
The Hispanic American Foundation of Tulsa has recognized Joe and Carol McGraw with its 2019 Award of the Americas. The award is made to longtime, sustaining supporters of the Foundation and to organizations which contribute to educational and cultural initiatives of Tulsa’s Hispanic-Latino community.
Joseph “Joe” McGraw, Jr. earned his juris doctorate from the University of Tulsa. He worked in banking and politics before his career in real estate, with current enterprises of McGraw Realtors and McGraw Commercial Properties.
Joe and his wife Carol have supported many community programs, some directly related to education. In 2019, the University of Tulsa recognized the McGraws for their endowment gift to the University of Tulsa’s College of Law fund. The couple support the arts, nature conservation and health initiatives, and Carol founded the Brush Creek Youth Ranch in Jay, Oklahoma.

The Award of the Americas was established by the Hispanic American Foundation in 1992.
