Cultural & Art Programs
The promotion of Hispanic-Latino culture has been an embedded part of the Foundation’s work since its inception in 1990. Today, HAF supports local organizations that advance the education and betterment of Hispanic youth and encourage the broader arts community.

Technology Grant with San Miguel Middle School
Located in Tulsa, San Miguel School provides a quality education for students in Grades 6 to 8. San Miguel is an independent, gratuitous school with 95% of operating funds made through donations, grants, and other fundraising. Due to factors outside their control, students accepted to the program may be up to two grades behind in school. The school helps students work toward grade-level competencies for increased success in high school. HAF donates annually to provide a Chromebook for the incoming 6th grade students.

Catholic Charities’ Citizenship Program
HAF provides charitable assistance to the Catholic Charities’ Citizenship program. The program helps people obtain legal documentation and citizenship in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Overcoming Obstacles Afterschool Program
The Overcoming Obstacles afterschool program at McLain High School serves over 40 students in grades 9-10. This pilot initiative focuses on historically underserved and under-resourced Hispanic and minority students, aiming to foster academic, social, and emotional development. The program emphasizes essential life and career skills, including self-respect, decision-making, goal setting, leadership, peer mentoring, and cultivating positive attitudes. Through these efforts, we empower students to succeed both in school and beyond.

Tulsa Area Hispanic Cultural Events
The Foundation also promotes and supports cultural events like Festival Americas, an outdoor celebration of Hispanic culture. We also participate in Tulsa’s Living Arts and its Dia de Los Muertos Celebration held in November.

HAF's Annual Noche De Gala Fundraising Event
Since 1990, the Hispanic American Foundation of Tulsa has hosted an annual Noche de Gala, the Foundation’s only fundraising event. The event's fundraising proceeds are critical to the Foundation to scholarship program. Each year, the event pays tribute to the Hispanic heritage and culture of a different country. The event features the country’s food, music, and dancing, along with collectible art as part of the silent and live auctions. In 2024, the Noche de Gala had it's largest showing in recent history with over 150 attendees!
